The Sopranos Star Vincent Pastore Reportedly Dies at 80
Vincent Pastore, the actor best known for playing Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero in The Sopranos, has reportedly died at the age of 80. His manager, Bob McGowan, said Pastore was found at his home on City Island in New York after friends had been unable to reach him for several days. McGowan said he had been trying to contact the actor about a possible job. Pastore built a long career portraying tough characters, appearing in films such as Goodfellas and Awakenings. His most memorable role was the FBI informant and close friend of Tony Soprano in the acclaimed crime drama The Sopranos. He is survived by his daughter, Renee Pastore.
