Super Eagles defender Ola Aina says he feels the absence of compatriot Taiwo Awoniyi following the striker’s move from Nottingham Forest to Coventry City. Aina said he is happy for Awoniyi, who left in search of more regular playing time after four years at the City Ground. The transfer leaves Aina as the only Nigerian international in Nottingham Forest’s senior squad. Despite competition following Daniel Muñoz’s arrival, Aina has started every Premier League match for Forest this season. He was deployed at right centre-back in the club’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa as manager Oliver Glasner adjusted his defensive system.
