You Rejected Them: Why Be Angry When They Move On?
Rejecting someone is your right. No one should pressure you into dating, sex or any romantic situation you do not want. But the person you reject also has the right to accept your answer and step away. They may stop calling, replying, checking in or offering emotional support. They may even block contact if that helps them move on and eventually find someone else. Moving on is not proof that someone cannot handle rejection. In many cases, it is exactly what handling rejection looks like. Friendship can work after rejection, but only when both people genuinely want it and no one is quietly hoping for a relationship. Your no deserves respect. Their decision to leave deserves respect too. You are free to reject them, and they are free to find their own yes.
