Ter Stegen Joins Arokodare at Ajax on Season-Long Loan from Barcelona

Ajax have signed Barcelona goalkeeper Marc ter Stegen on a season-long loan, adding an experienced German international to their squad for the new campaign. The 34-year-old will join Nigeria striker Tolu Arokodare at the Dutch club. Arokodare, who arrived on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, scored on his Ajax debut in a 3-1 pre-season win over FC Volendam. Ajax technical director Jordi Cruijff said ter Stegen's experience and quality will provide an immediate boost. The goalkeeper has made more than 400 appearances for Barcelona and won the UEFA Champions League and seven league titles.
