Was I Wrong to Block My Girlfriend After She Kept Calling While I Worked?
I am a scriptwriter, and my girlfriend knows that I am usually busy online during the day. We normally chat in the evening. One morning, she sent her usual greeting, but I was dealing with a bad Monday-morning hangover and preparing to work, so I did not reply. About eight or nine hours later, she began calling repeatedly on WhatsApp while I was working on a script for an important client. I initially ignored the calls, then told her I was busy and would speak with her later. She kept calling and said it was my punishment for ignoring her message. I got frustrated and warned her to stop or I would block her. She replied, “Block me then,” so I did. She has not called directly since, and I know she is hurt. I love her, but I also need her to understand that my work cannot be interrupted. Should I leave her blocked for a while, or unblock her and address the issue differently?
