Canada-Based UNIZIK Alumnus Donates ₦5m for Medical Centre Walkway
The CKOi Okunenyeife Foundation has donated ₦5 million to Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, to reconstruct the walkway pavilion linking the old University Medical Centre to the newly completed facility. The project comes ahead of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria accreditation exercise. It is expected to improve movement and access for staff, students, patients and visitors between both medical centre buildings. The donation fulfils part of an earlier pledge by Dr Charles Kenechukwu Ojukwu, a UNIZIK alumnus and Canada-based consultant family physician. University officials said the institution will continue to welcome alumni and partners supporting infrastructure and healthcare development.
