The Unity Lie: How Nigeria’s Self-Deception Perpetuates Our Suffering
I believe Nigeria’s struggle stems from our refusal to face truth. Many Nigerians choose comforting lies over harsh realities. We build a fantasy world and pray that problems vanish on their own. Daily, tribal attacks fuel our divisions. We see it on every platform. People refuse to work together because our bonds of unity are broken. Without unity, genuine progress is impossible. I argue that we must hold a sovereign national conference and referendum. Each region should decide its future—stay united or separate amicably. Only then can we build a fair nation based on truth, justice, and equity. Until we accept this truth, our suffering will continue.
