Rivers United Focus on Points After Barau FC Draw, Says Olanrewaju

Rivers United assistant coach Yemi Olanrewaju says the team is prioritising points over its unbeaten run in the Nigeria Premier Football League. The Port Harcourt club played out a goalless draw with Barau FC in their Matchday 9 fixture and remains the league’s only unbeaten side this season. Olanrewaju said Rivers United are determined to improve on last season’s performance. He added that a strong defensive record remains central to the team’s approach as they prepare for Sunday’s South-South derby against Bendel Insurance in Benin City.
