UNICEF, DGI Consult Complete Health Leadership Workshops in Adamawa, Sokoto and Kwara
UNICEF and Development Governance International Consult have completed leadership, governance and management workshops for health-sector stakeholders in Adamawa, Sokoto and Kwara states. The workshops focused on improving reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, nutrition, and gender-based violence programmes. Participants included senior government officials, health institution heads, programme managers, local government representatives and development partners. Participants examined challenges in planning, coordination, financial management, human resources, data use and accountability. They also developed shared priorities and a results framework to track progress in health programmes. The next phase will include mentoring, local government and facility-level training, public expenditure reviews, performance dashboards and support for 2027 health-sector operational plans.
