Lagos Security Trust Fund Urges Agencies to Prioritise Schoolchildren’s Safety
The Lagos State Security Trust Fund has urged security agencies to make the safety of schoolchildren a core part of their operations across the state. The fund’s Executive Secretary, Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, said children should be protected at school, at home, on the road and in their communities. He called on the police, armed forces, paramilitary bodies and other agencies to give child safety greater attention. The Lagos command of the Peace Corps said it would support the state’s Safe School Project, citing its personnel and volunteer presence across Lagos’ LGAs and LCDAs.
