Inside My Uganda Trip: ADCCE 2026, Lake Victoria and Murchison Falls
I travelled to Uganda for the inaugural Africa Destination Celebrations Conference and Expo, held in Kampala from 12 to 13 October 2026. The gathering brought together event planners, hospitality professionals, tourism operators and creatives to discuss Africa’s potential for weddings, conferences, luxury travel and other destination experiences. After the conference, I joined a familiarisation trip to Murchison Falls National Park. From Lake Victoria dinners and networking events in Kampala to a safari, a River Nile cruise and a visit to Murchison Falls, the trip offered a closer look at Uganda’s hospitality, wildlife and scenery. I saw lions, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, hippos and crocodiles, while the sight and sound of the River Nile rushing through the narrow gorge at Murchison Falls was unforgettable. Beyond the adventure, the trip created new connections and fresh ideas about how African destinations can welcome more celebration and leisure travellers.
