Holy fear is deep reverence for God. It shapes how we live, speak, and decide. It is not terror but respectful awe. The Bible says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Proverbs 1:7). In the New Testament, we are urged to serve God “with reverence and godly fear” (Hebrews 12:28). This reverence guards us against careless living and draws us into obedience and purity. To walk in victory, live with awareness of God’s presence. Honour Him in your words and actions. Avoid anything that dulls your spiritual sensitivity. Obey God promptly and cultivate a lifestyle of worship. Ask yourself: Do I still carry reverence for God today? Or have I grown careless with holy things? Lord Jesus, restore holy fear in my heart. Teach me to live with reverence, obedience, and wisdom.
