Former Flying Eagles Captain Daniel Bameyi Joins FC Inter Turku in Finland

Former Flying Eagles captain Daniel Bameyi has joined Finnish club FC Inter Turku after a spell with Slovenian side ND Primorje. The 20-year-old defender, who can play at centre-back, right-back and defensive midfield, will initially join Inter 2 in Finland’s Ykkönen as he works towards a first-team opportunity. Bameyi captained Nigeria at the 2023 and 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, earning a place in the 2025 tournament’s Best XI. He also led the Flying Eagles at the 2023 and 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cups.
