Dokubo-Asari Denies Land-Grabbing Claims, Backs Inquiry Into Obuama-Udekama Dispute

Dokubo-Asari has rejected allegations that Royal Fouche Security Services operates as an “army of occupation” or is involved in land grabbing in the Obuama-Udekama area of Rivers State. He described the claims as sad, provocative and a distortion of a longstanding land dispute between neighbouring communities. He said the dispute predates him and has been addressed in several court cases, which he said were decided in Obuama’s favour. According to him, Royal Fouche provides security along the Emohua-Kalabari road corridor and in surrounding communities, and does not own or occupy any disputed land. Dokubo-Asari said any claims of attacks, terrorism or land grabbing should be investigated by the appropriate authorities. He welcomed a judicial panel of inquiry by the Rivers State Government and urged all sides to allow the courts, evidence and the law to resolve the matter peacefully.
