In Mozambique, South African tourists were jeered and humiliated on the streets. Crowds shouted insults and chased visitors away from hotels. How can a nation mistreat African residents at home and then expect a warm welcome abroad? Six-year-olds have been expelled from schools, and patients dragged from hospital beds. Is this the start of a worse xenophobic wave? We must stay vigilant and demand answers.
