Air Force Chief Oversees C-130H Aircraft Overhaul in Portugal
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has sent a high-level Nigerian Air Force delegation to Portugal. Their mission is to assess the ongoing periodic depot maintenance of the C-130H transport aircraft, NAF 913. Led by Air Vice Marshal Olufemi Ogunsina and Air Commodore Eric Kpokpogri, the team visited OGMA Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal. They inspected maintenance activities and held strategic discussions to streamline completion timelines. CAS Aneke said the visit underscores the NAF’s commitment to safety, airworthiness and operational readiness. Despite earlier transit challenges, the delegation ensured all maintenance procedures meet international standards. The engagement also explored long-term support, technical training and logistics for the C-130H fleet.
