First Lady Appeals to Burna Boy, Davido and Asake to Support Poor Nigerians

At the National Community Food Bank launch in Kogi State, First Lady Remi Tinubu urged top Afrobeats stars to establish foundations for vulnerable Nigerians. She noted that government alone cannot carry the heavy burden of feeding millions and cited music icon Akon’s charity work as an example. She encouraged celebrities to go beyond luxury lifestyles and help pepper sellers, vegetable vendors and other small traders. According to her, even small contributions can make a big difference. Mrs Tinubu also highlighted the importance of dignified work. She shared the story of a graduate who turned to food vending after failing to secure employment. With additional support, he now employs a team of workers and thrives.
