Man Rescued After Jumping From Bridge in Jos

A middle-aged man was rescued after jumping from the British American Bridge in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State at about 1pm on Friday, August 28, 2026. Residents and commuters at the scene reportedly raised the alarm and worked together to pull him out of the water. An eyewitness said the rescue was carried out quickly by people around the bridge. The man was said to have sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital for urgent treatment. The reason for his action was not immediately known, while security personnel later visited the scene.
