UNIOSUN to Graduate 4,357 Students, Including Its First 90 Medical Doctors

Osun State University will confer degrees and diplomas on 4,357 graduands during its 16th convocation ceremony scheduled for 18 to 24 September 2026. The figure includes 3,845 first-degree graduates, 400 master’s degree holders, 103 doctoral graduates and nine postgraduate diploma recipients. A major highlight is the graduation of the university’s first 90 medical doctors. The institution will also graduate pioneer students from 17 newer programmes, including Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Psychology, Biotechnology and Criminology. The university also announced Victoria Adunola Samson as its new Chancellor, succeeding Folorunso Alakija. The convocation programme will include professional inductions, a lecture on university regulation and postgraduate degree awards.
