FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, has responded to activist Deji Adeyanju’s criticism over the flooding that followed heavy rainfall in Abuja. Videos from the weekend showed vehicles partly submerged in floodwater. Adeyanju blamed the FCT Administration and accused Wike of poor planning. Olayinka rejected the claim, saying Abuja experienced flooding before Wike became minister. He said the administration was aware of the challenge and was taking steps to reduce future flooding.
