Louis Saha Says Manchester United’s Slow Build-Up Is Hurting Their Attack
Louis Saha has criticised Manchester United’s style under Michael Carrick, saying the team’s slow and cautious build-up is limiting its attacking players. The former United striker said the midfield too often moves the ball sideways instead of playing forward quickly. According to him, this allows opposing defences time to reorganise and leaves attackers without clear chances. Saha believes players such as Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko need a more fluid system with faster transitions, greater risk-taking and more direct passes into dangerous areas.
