Entrepreneur Urges FG to Execute Nnamdi Kanu, Says It Will Restore Peace in South-East
Chigozie Nnabugwu told News Central TV that insecurity in the South-East dropped sharply after the arrests and conviction of IPOB figures like Simon Ekpa and Nnamdi Kanu. He argues that executing Kanu would further reduce violence and bring normalcy back to the region. On the same programme, Nnabugwu urged the government to kill the detained IPOB leader, claiming arrests cut crime by up to 90 per cent. He also appealed to community leaders, religious organisations and intellectuals to work together in combating misinformation and hate speech. Nnamdi Kanu was sentenced to life in prison in November 2025 on terrorism-related charges. Earlier this month, Emeritus Professor Martin Aghaji was arrested after issuing an independent medical report on Kanu’s health that contradicted the official DSS assessment.
