Heaven, Hell, Death and the Grave: A Spiritual Reflection

Heaven is where God’s presence dwells. It can be a peaceful, prosperous place where people live in harmony and seek that divine connection here on earth. Hell is defined by the absence of God. It is a land of turmoil, hunger, anger and deprivation. Without God, a society becomes spiritually and socially broken. Death is separation from God’s spirit. When the soul loses its connection with God, it becomes vulnerable and capable of great evil. That spiritual death mirrors the state of those in hell. The grave is the dwelling place of the spiritually dead. Those who inhabit it lack innovation and purpose. They live physically but remain mentally “powered down” until someone helps them reconnect with life.
