2027 Elections: Anglican Diocese Urges Nigerians to Vote with Conviction and Tackle Kidnapping
With the 2027 general election approaching, the Akoko-Edo Diocese of the Church of Nigeria is calling on political leaders to respect voters’ conscience and reject inducements. The Bishop emphasized that true progress comes when citizens choose based on conviction, not bribes. The Diocese also warned against rising kidnapping incidents in Edo North. It urged communities to work closely with security agencies, stay vigilant, and resist those who want to terrorize the region. While commending the palliative repairs on the Auchi–Igarra–Ibillo road, the Bishop appealed for long-lasting infrastructure projects. He also stressed the need to prepare local youths for future leadership and service roles.
