Persistent Penile Skin Lesion for Two Weeks: What Could Be Causing It?

Hi everyone, I noticed a small, superficial lesion on the skin of my penile shaft about two weeks ago. It first looked like an inflamed bump or skin irritation, with a few smaller bumps around it. It was not very painful or itchy at first, but it became mildly tender and stung as the skin got irritated. The smaller bumps have disappeared. The main area is now reducing in size and has formed a dry yellow-brown crust. After sleeping, the surface sometimes looks soft or slightly wet again, then dries and crusts later in the day. The size and discomfort have improved, but it has not fully healed after two weeks. HSV-1, HSV-2 and syphilis blood tests were negative. Has anyone experienced something similar, and what safe steps can help it heal properly?
