Lagos Trains 341 Retiring Local Government Officers for Life After Service
The Lagos State Government has held a pre-retirement training for 341 officers in the Unified Local Government Service, urging them to prepare early for a healthy and productive life after public service. Officials advised participants to prioritise regular medical check-ups, exercise and emotional well-being. They also encouraged workers still in active service to begin planning for retirement before their final day at work. The workshop highlighted opportunities for retirees to pursue businesses, learn new skills, invest, mentor younger people, serve their communities and spend more time with their families. Retired officers also cautioned participants against a sedentary lifestyle.
