Is ₦4.46 Million Enough for a 16-Day Nigeria Trip?
I am planning a 16-day trip to Nigeria in November and my total budget is ₦4.46 million. The costs are already looking high, so I would appreciate advice on where I can cut spending. My Lagos accommodation will cost ₦1.03 million for seven nights at ₦140,000 per night, plus a ₦50,000 caution fee. A three-night trip to Port Harcourt, excluding flights which I have already paid for, is budgeted at ₦650,000. I also set aside ₦350,000 for food and outings during the weekend before the trip. My final four nights in Lagos will cost ₦500,000. I have budgeted ₦300,000 for three pairs of photochromic glasses, ₦250,000 for fuel, and ₦200,000 for miscellaneous expenses. This brings the planned spending to ₦2.75 million, leaving about ₦1.25 million, or roughly ₦113,000 daily, for the remaining 11 days in Lagos. Breakfast is included at both Lagos hotels. Am I overspending, especially on accommodation and the Port Harcourt trip? It feels like there may be little left for proper outings on a ₦4.46 million budget.
