Dangote Petroleum Refinery is scheduled to open its initial public offering to investors on September 14, 2026. The offer has reportedly received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission. The refinery plans to offer 4.1 billion ordinary shares at ₦525 per share, representing a 10% public stake. The offer could raise about ₦2.15 trillion, with a 15% greenshoe option available if demand is strong. Proceeds are expected to support an expansion of refining capacity to as much as 1.4 million barrels per day. Investors can apply through a licensed Nigerian stockbroker or an NGX-approved trading platform. Applicants will need a brokerage account, a CSCS account and enough funds to cover their chosen shares and transaction charges before submitting an application when the offer opens.
