Sporting Lagos Coach Slams Refereeing After 1-1 Draw With Barau FC
Sporting Lagos coach Jeffery Buter criticised referee Abubakar Abdullahi after his side’s 1-1 home draw with Barau FC at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan. Buter said the officiating was the worst he had seen this NPFL season. He objected to the referee’s handling of Sporting Lagos players and said the team captain was prevented from making inquiries during the match. Barau FC took the lead through a first-half penalty before Sodiq Ayoade equalised for Sporting Lagos in the second half. Despite his frustration, Buter praised his players for fighting back to earn a point.
