Finding Joy and Peace by Abiding in Christ

Loving Heavenly Father, thank You for teaching me through the Holy Spirit. As I rest in Your love and abide in You, the fears and disappointments of life begin to fall into their proper perspective. Even in trouble and trials, I find comfort in knowing that Jesus has overcome the world. I do not have to earn Your love, peace or joy through my own efforts. I only need to trust You and receive what You freely give. Thank You for carrying out the good works You have prepared for me through the power of Your Spirit. My heart rejoices because I can rely on You completely.
