Presidential media adviser Daniel Bwala says Nigeria could have been overrun by terrorists without what he described as the Tinubu administration’s decisive security interventions. Speaking during a radio interview in Ogun State, Bwala said terrorist movements across the Sahel have increased pressure on Nigeria’s northern borders. He argued that the threat requires domestic military operations and stronger international cooperation. Bwala acknowledged that insecurity persists in some local government areas, but said security agencies have prevented armed groups from taking control of larger territories. He also called on state and local governments to take a more active role in addressing insecurity.
