Uzoho Targets Higher NPFL Finish After Kun Khalifat Draw With Abia Warriors
Kun Khalifat technical adviser Obinna Uzoho says his side is focused on improving on last season’s league finish after opening the 2026/27 NPFL campaign with a goalless draw against Abia Warriors. The Matchday One fixture at Enyimba Stadium, Aba, was halted in the 73rd minute due to a heavy downpour that made the pitch unplayable. It resumed the following day, with both teams unable to find a goal. Uzoho dismissed talk of Kun Khalifat being “Oriental Derby Giants”, saying the team will take each match as it comes. Their attention has now turned to the next league game against Barau FC in Owerri.
