Four Injured in Farmers-Herders Clash Over Farmland in Kaduna
Four people were injured after farmers and herders clashed over an alleged attempt to encroach on farmland in Mahauta village, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Troops of Sector 7 of Operation Enduring Peace, based in Manchok, responded to reports of the confrontation at about 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22. They contained the situation before it escalated. Two farmers and two herders were taken to the Primary Health Care Centre in Manchok for treatment. The Ardo of Dakachi and youth leaders from the affected communities were detained for questioning, while security personnel remain in the area to maintain calm.
