Itele Celebrates as ‘Black Market’ Sets Guinness World Record for Largest Film Screening Audience
Nollywood actor Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele, has celebrated his role in the cast of ‘Black Market’ after the film set a Guinness World Records mark in Lagos. More than 51,000 people reportedly gathered at Tafawa Balewa Square to watch the film, earning it recognition as the largest audience ever recorded for a film screening. The previous record was 43,624, set in the Philippines in 2015. Itele, who grew up around Agege and Agbado Crossing, described the achievement as a reminder of how far he has come. He said being part of the record-breaking production was a major milestone in his career and urged his supporters to keep working hard and believing in their goals.
