Gibbs-White Set for England Recall as Palmer Nears Injury Withdrawal
Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White is expected to return to the England squad as a replacement for Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, who is reportedly set to withdraw with a minor injury. Gibbs-White narrowly missed out on Thomas Tuchel’s initial selection for the upcoming Nations League fixtures. He last featured for England in the 3-0 friendly win over Wales in October 2025. Palmer has started six of Chelsea’s seven matches this season, recording four goals and two assists. Manchester United pair Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo are also being assessed after picking up possible injuries, while Everton’s James Garner could be considered if Mainoo withdraws.
