Anambra CP Seeks Stronger Community Support to Tackle Insecurity in Anambra North
Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, has urged stakeholders in Anambra North Senatorial District to work more closely with the police and other security agencies to improve safety and sustain peace. During a security meeting at Umueri Civic Centre, the CP said effective policing requires support from traditional rulers, community leaders, religious bodies, youth and women groups. He called for prompt reporting of suspicious activities and credible intelligence on emerging threats. He also met traditional rulers and local stakeholders in the area to discuss community policing, intelligence sharing and practical measures to prevent crime. The police command said it remains committed to proactive policing, rapid response, accountability and the protection of citizens’ rights.
