The German Embassy has warned Nigerians not to rely on visa agents or intermediaries who claim they can secure special appointment slots or influence visa decisions. According to Germany’s foreign office, visa appointments and applications must go through the appropriate German mission responsible for an applicant’s place of residence. Paying an agent does not guarantee faster processing, an appointment or visa approval. Applicants seeking visas for study, work, family reunification or other purposes should check requirements early and use official German government channels. Germany’s digital consular portal also allows eligible applicants to begin some national visa applications online.
