The management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku-Awka, has appealed to the Adazi-Ani community in Anambra State to partner with it on projects aimed at improving healthcare services. The hospital identified a paediatric complex, dental complex, staff bus and a trust fund for patients unable to pay medical bills as key needs. The proposed Chinechendo I Health Trust Fund would support indigent patients after treatment. During a visit to the traditional ruler of Adazi-Ani, the Chief Medical Director said community and private-sector support was needed to complement government intervention.
