This has created the impression that Nigeria is worse than every other country, even among Africans facing similar challenges. Negative stories seem to attract more attention, while positive experiences receive far less publicity. We should not ignore the country’s problems or pretend everything is fine. However, creators and visitors should also show Nigeria’s good side, its people, culture, creativity and progress. Constantly amplifying only the worst parts of the country can harm how Nigerians are seen globally.
