Eight Dead in Kebbi Farmers-Herders Clash as Police Open Investigation

The crisis began after cattle strayed into a farmer’s field, leading to a deadly confrontation. Mobs attacked members of the herder community, burning bodies and forcing others to flee. Security forces rescued five trapped individuals and imposed a curfew while deploying joint patrols. Investigations are underway to arrest those responsible and restore peace.
