Micro-Farming Plan: Start Small and Build Towards ₦50 Million
Can micro-farming help someone raise serious capital in Nigeria? I believe it can, but it requires careful planning, active supervision and realistic expectations. My approach is to build farm infrastructure for the full scale I intend to reach, while starting production on a smaller area. For example, I would install a borehole with enough capacity for 15 plots, then begin with irrigation equipment for one plot and expand gradually. For a plant population of about 3,750, I am considering crops that could generate up to ₦25 million per production cycle. I will share my crop options in a follow-up post. Anyone using this approach must stay actively involved in the farm. Monitor workers, protect farm assets and avoid sharing unnecessary details about the project. This is a practical concept for people looking to build capital through agriculture, including those saving towards relocation plans.
