Four Family Members Found Dead After Private Plane Crashes Near Bahamas
Four members of the same family have been found dead after their private plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near North Andros Island in the Bahamas. Mario Lamar, 80, was piloting the five-seat Piper PA-34 aircraft with his wife, Lili Lamar, 79, and their grandchildren, Sofia Sosa, 28, and Christian Sosa, 22. They were returning to Florida after spending the Labour Day weekend at their home in Great Harbour Cay. The aircraft reportedly disappeared from radar after rapidly losing altitude. Relatives and volunteers joined the search, locating the bodies by Tuesday morning. The family is working with the Coast Guard to bring their loved ones home.
