APC to Submit Tinubu and Running Mate Details to INEC Portal This Week

APC to Submit Tinubu and Running Mate Details to INEC Portal This Week

The All Progressives Congress says it remains on schedule to meet the July 11 deadline for submitting its presidential and National Assembly candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission. A senior member of the party’s National Working Committee revealed that uploading President Bola Tinubu and his running mate’s details has reached an advanced stage and should be completed by midweek. The APC’s ICT department has already uploaded profiles for most principal officers of the 10th National Assembly, several lawmakers and four governors turned senatorial candidates. This follows the party’s review of over 700 primary election petitions, which led to the replacement of six senatorial and 19 House of Representatives nominees. The APC’s National Publicity Secretary says their immediate focus is ensuring all approved candidates finalise INEC Form EC9 and that the complete list will be published in due course.

They claim they're on schedule, but INEC processes can be slow. Last time there were portal hiccups that caused delays.

I no sure say submitting details this week guarantees smooth sailing; bureaucracy fit still slow down uploading despite all official timelines.

They should prepare a backup plan in case the portal crashes and upload files early in off-peak hours to avoid technical snags.
