St. Patrick’s College Awka Wins South-East NILDS Quiz, Advances to National Finals

St. Patrick’s College, Awka, has won the South-East zonal stage of the 2026 National Quiz Competition on the Legislature and Democracy, securing a place at the national finals in Abuja. The Anambra school defeated representatives from Enugu, Imo, Abia and Ebonyi states during the zonal contest in Enugu. It had earlier qualified after winning the Anambra State competition on September 29. The quiz, organised by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, tests secondary school students’ knowledge of democracy, governance and legislative institutions. The Anambra education commissioner congratulated the students, teachers and school management, urging the team to prepare strongly for the national finals.
