Gunmen Kill Son of Accord Party Women Leader in Osun State
Kolade Eluyera, the son of the Accord Party’s Women Leader in Irewole Local Government, Osun State, was shot dead by suspected political thugs in Ikire. His body was found with gunshot wounds, and security agents have launched an investigation. Despite earlier intelligence reports and petitions about kidnappings, intimidation, and coordinated attacks against Accord Party members, no preventive action was taken. The party has condemned the slow response from law enforcement and called the violence a threat to democracy and public peace. Authorities have deployed additional police personnel to the area. The party leadership is urging the Inspector-General of Police and other security agencies to conduct an independent inquiry into the killing and ensure justice for the victim’s family.
