Troops Neutralise Over 50 Terrorists, Top ISWAP Commander Killed in North-East Airstrike
Nigerian forces have killed more than 50 terrorists in precision airstrikes, including Khalifa Umar, a senior ISWAP commander. Security operatives also arrested suspected logistics suppliers, informants and a deserter soldier in Maiduguri and surrounding areas. Recovered items include a rifle, vehicle, 30 litres of petrol and other materials used to support terrorist activities. Operation Hadin Kai’s sustained air and ground offensive has forced insurgents to abandon fortified island enclaves and scatter into smaller cells. Military authorities say the campaign will continue to degrade terrorist networks and restore stability in the region.
