Can Christians Also Show Narcissistic Tendencies?

I have noticed that discussions about narcissism are everywhere online. My recent difficult experiences with unreasonable people made me reflect on what lies behind such behaviour. I believe every person can struggle with selfishness, pride and the desire for money, fame or personal control. Christians are not automatically free from these tendencies. Faith should instead lead us to examine ourselves and allow the Holy Spirit to change us. Jesus warned about the leaven of the Pharisees. This reminds me that outward religion does not always reflect a humble heart. Rather than only pointing at the faults of others, we should guard against evil and selfishness in our own lives.
