Nigeria, Thailand Sign Deal to Build Fish Farm and Expand Agricultural Training
Nigeria and Thailand have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen agricultural education, aquaculture, youth skills and agribusiness development. The partnership involves the Thailand International Cooperation Agency, Kasetsart University and the Federal Cooperative College, Oji River. A key project is a Thailand-funded standard fish farm at the college, designed to support practical training, research, technology transfer and enterprise development. The agreement will also support student exchanges, technical assistance, institutional capacity building and knowledge-sharing between both countries. Officials said the initiative could help young Nigerians gain modern farming and business skills while improving food security and agricultural productivity.
