MCIU Removes Pro-Chancellor Anthony Kila’s Profile After Report Questions Professorship
Michael and Cecilia Ibru University has removed references to its pro-chancellor, Anthony Kila, from its website after an investigation questioned his claim to a professorship. A review of the university’s website found that his name, profile and photographs had been deleted. Mr Kila had reportedly served as pro-chancellor since August 2025. The report said it found no evidence that the institution said to have awarded him the title existed. It also said the agency managing the Jean Monnet programme denied any affiliation with him. The university said its council would meet before issuing a formal response, while Mr Kila maintained that his professorship is legitimate and said he had sought legal advice.
