Tinubu Meets 76 Osun APC Leaders Over Rift Ahead of Governorship Poll
President Bola Tinubu has reportedly met with 76 APC leaders from Osun State at the Presidential Villa as the party moves to contain internal divisions ahead of the August 15 governorship election. Sources said the meeting followed an intelligence report by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, which allegedly highlighted discontent among influential party figures who felt excluded from party decisions and the campaign. Attendees reportedly raised concerns about the distribution of federal appointments and the influence of former governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s allies. Tinubu was said to have urged the factions to put aside their grievances and unite behind APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji. Osun APC Director of Media and Publicity Kola Olabisi confirmed that the meeting took place, while other party sources said it was part of efforts to resolve disagreements before the election.
